The History of Flowerpod Community
Flowerpod community was founded in 2000 after the closure of a popular (now defunct) beauty portal, MissKat. The idea of conceiving a forum was born and an online community was formed on a free forum platform. Membership grew and the demands of a free platform could not cope with the increasing traffic and exhausted bandwidth.
Thus, flowerpod.org was registered in 2001 and the forum was hosted by DifferentHost. Our community flourished over the years and so did the greed of one man.

Transfer of data without owner’s consent
DJxpire, as what his moniker is, joined our forum in 2004 and befriended many podders, especially those on the moderating committee. He tried all his ways to persuade myself to let him be the technical admin. Not long after, he registered a domain name at flowerpod.com.sg and transferred our database to that domain. Subsequently, he masqueraded as the “co-owner” of the community and implemented his own rules at his whims. All these were done without seeking my permission.

Using our community for his own commercial gains
After the incident, he became unpopular among the forum moderators and removed all those who questioned his act of stealing a website which has never belonged to him. He would delete topics on the forum with regards to these claims. He approached advertisers to ask for sponsorships and printed “The Podders” card” for sale. He ignored every single suggestion brought up to him and defended the portal fiercely as if it was his own. And his latest act involved collecting $12 subscription for the forum membership.
The truth exposed
A blog on The Truth of Flowerpod was created on the 4th Aug 2008 to expose the deeds of this one man. Within the short span of time, the site has generated interest from infuriated podders and unknowing forummers. The said offender, fearing his earnings at jeopardy, wrote several complaints to Blogger, giving unvalidated reasons of “infringement of copyrighted content”. This man has no sense of shame when he was the one who stole my mascot, took over my forums by force and turn it into his own drinking den.
